Prayer Week

Ewan and Sophia working with our Worhsip Council at lunchtime during Prayer Week.

Prayer Week began on Monday 13th October with a visit from Mrs Stolberg, who told the story of Samuel hearing God’s voice with help from some of our children!

Throughout the week many people visited us. Paul Northem talked to Y1 about prayer and monastic life and taught them a new song!

Rev. Susannah met with Y4 to help them reflect on creating a new world.

Sam Gibson shared his experience and understanding of prayer with Y2.

Canon John Oakes explored different types of prayer and meditation with Y6.

Every day we looked at a different theme with our children; being thankful, being still, being sorry, being forgiven and letting go. We explored the themes through practical creative activies, through stories and through prayer and reflection.

Every lunchtime our Worship Council ran a lunchtime club for all year groups. Here they are building community jenga. As soon as one person from the community is removed, the tower soon
