    Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!

  • Welcome Back!

    We hope you have had an amazing Summer! We are very excited to get back into the swing of things.

     

    Y1 have helped rescue Bobby, the Baby Bear (hamster!) by building shelters to keep him safe. He is our new addition to the St. Francis family.

     

    Y6 have gone Minion crazy!

     

    Rev. Peter welcomed us back with a ukulele duet with one of our talented Y4 children.

     

    Y3 and Y4 have been working together to  re-inact the Anglo-Saxon Invasion!

     

    Y5 and 6 have used the Learning Tool ‘co-operation’  to create some musical literacy.

  • Music Evening!

    The children have once again amazed a church full of parents, friends and staff!

     

    Last night we were entertained by a range of instruments and talents. The hard work, commitment and perseverance of everyone involved was evident as, yet again, they proved just how talented they all are!

     

    There were trio’s, whole band pieces, soloists and, of course, the increasingly popular choir.

    A huge thank you goes to the music staff involved in putting the evening together.

  • Summer Fayre 2015

    On Saturday 16th May the school will be opening its gates for the 2015 Summer  Fayre.

     

    Join us from 12 noon – 2pm and take part in a variety of exciting games and activities.

    Games Include: Nerf Gun Alley, Bat the Rat, Lolly Stick, Grass Sledging, Goal In The Hole, Crossbar Challenge, Bouncy Castles and  Wheel Of Fortune.

    We will also have some fantastic food on offer; ice creams, cakes and burgers.

    We look forward to seeing you on the day.

  • Christian Aid Week 10th – 16th May

    Simon, from Christian Aid, lead our assembly this morning to highlight the work that goes on to raise money for equality, justice and peace.

     

  • Running Club Success!

    Our running club did us proud on Saturday taking part in the Chocolate Run at Rowheath.Children, staff and parents competed in the race on Saturday. Everyone showed their High 5 Values, cheering their team mates on and encouraging each other to persevere to the end! GO TEAM!

     

  • Over £160 for St.Mary’s Hospice!

    The Penny Calendars raised over £161 for St.Mary’s Hospice.Rhianna Cooper came to St.Francis to be presented with a checque for over £160 by the Worship Council.

    Our children had to collect different amounts of coins during the lead up to Christmas based on how many ‘things’ they had in their homes eg. lightbulbs, toilets etc. The money raised has gone to help St.Mary’s Hospice continue their hard work.

  • New Benches!

    A huge THANK YOU to Friends for funding our new playground benches.

     

    The children have loved the new benches! They are using them every lunchtime and break time to share their love of reading  with each other.  The children are enjoying using them to take a a break and reflect on their busy day in school.

  • Wacky Wig Day! We have raised over £400!

    Evie in Y1 organised a Wacky Wig Day to coincide with her treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. She made posters and toured the school sharing ideas for the big day!

     

    We raised over £400 from generous and supportive families. The Wacky Wigs were truly wonderful; the hall was ablaze with colour! The Y1 assembly highlighted the hard and crucial work that Birmingham Children’s Hospital do and Evie showed true courage talking about her experiences in front of the school.

    As part of the day, Evie ran a competition for the best hair style or wig. The winner was Lucy in Y6 and Mr Nutbeam came in a close second! well done and thank you to every one.

  • Friendship Bench

    Our brand new friendship bench has arrived! Children can make their way to the bench to find new friends, join in games and have friendly chats with people from across the school.
