At St Francis Primary School we take pride in the achievements of all our pupils. As a school we take advantage of modern technologies such as Twitter, Facebook and our School Website to share these wonderful achievements.
It is our responsibility to ensure that sensitive information and details are kept secure and private. As a school we seek permission from parents/ carers for images of pupils to be used online. This ensures the school is fully aware of all individuals whose image should not appear. At the beginning of events we always ask parents not to display pictures taken of pupils on any form of social media site, this ensures that all our pupils are kept safe.
Whilst using Facebook, You-Tube and Twitter we ensure that our page and posts are only available to those known by the school allowing the sharing of achievements as well as important details about upcoming events. We have control over the social media that we use in school, which means that only those with consent appear online. We constantly monitor who is sharing our achievements with us and are proactive in updating this access.
If you have any queries about the use of pupil photos then please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
